Each piece in our lacquerware collection is handcrafted in Vietnam, using the same traditional techniques employed for centuries to create unique, beautiful, and durable objects.

From harvesting the tree sap that is processed into lacquer resin to sanding and shaping the wooden base, every step of the process is done by hand. Skilled lacquerware artisans apply Caspari designs to the wood, add gold or silver leaf and hand-painted accents as appropriate, then finish the piece with numerous layers of high-gloss lacquer to protect and seal it. The care and attention to every detail result in a lacquerware collection of exceptional beauty.
