Each piece in our lacquerware collection is handcrafted in Vietnam, using traditional techniques that have been employed for centuries to create unique, beautiful, and durable objects.

From harvesting the tree sap from which the lacquer is made to sanding and custom-shaping the wooden base, every step of the production process is carried out entirely by hand. Skilled lacquerware artisans apply exclusive Caspari designs to the wood, add gold leaf, silver leaf, and hand-painted accents if desired, and then carefully apply multiple layers of high-gloss lacquer to finish, protect, and seal each piece.
