Each piece in our lacquerware collection is handcrafted in Vietnam, using the same traditional techniques employed for centuries to create unique, beautiful, and durable objects.

From harvesting the tree sap that is processed into lacquer resins to sanding and shaping the wooden base, each step of the production process is executed by hand. Skilled lacquerware artisans apply Caspari designs to the wood, adding gold leaf, silver leaf, and hand-painted accents where appropriate, and then patiently apply multiple layers of high-gloss lacquer to finish and protect each piece. The care and attention given to every detail result in a lacquerware collection of exceptional beauty.
